Second AMV I’d ever created. Video was recorded from TV with a camcorder. It was edited in the style of an advertisement.
There is actually some confusion over whether this is my first or second AMV. This video was made very close to Hey Baby. To be honest, I am not sure which one came first. They were made very close together!
Hey Baby
Video: Animation, Vision of Escaflowne, Escaflowne (movie)
Audio: Pink – Hey Baby
Premiere Date: early 2002
Status: Downloadable, Not Streamable
Genre(s): Comedy, Romance, Fun

This was either my first or second AMV. Since this video came around at approximately the same time as Devil’s Demo, I am unsure which one came first. But I believe this is the second one.
I used Windows Movie Maker, and the video was recorded off the TV with a camcorder.
2001 – 2002 Slideshow Collection
Before I could make actual AMVs, I made slideshows with RealSlideShow out of anime and manga pictures. RealSlideShow worked by pre-loading the next picture while you were viewing the current picture. So the only way to sync quickly was to reduce the quality of pictures in some manner.
Back when I was extremely invested in animemusicvideos.org, (2002-2003 probably), there was a rule that said all of your videos had to be in the .org catalog in order to be elligible for the Viewer’s Choice Awards. No such rule exists these days, but when some drama originally cam eup about incomplete catalogs, I rushed to add all of these slideshows…
Rather than clog up my own personal website’s catalog with all of the slideshows, I have combined them into a single entry.
I don’t know the actual release dates for them, only that half were made in 2001 and the other half were made in the beginning of 2002. Unfortunately, all the files were lost in the sea of time, so none of them are downloadable. I list them here mostly for historical purposes.
SQ’s- Enemies, Friends, and Problems
Anime: Angel Sanctuary, Final Fantasy 7
Music: FF9 OST – Branbal
Year: 2001
.org entry
Original description:
This was the first ever slide show I made. At this time, I loved MeriC’s webpage ( http://templeotrunks.com ) and didn’t have the computer capabilities or programs to make AMVs. So I did the next best thing… I started to make Slideshows.
((I know I did this in 2001, but I have no idea what exact day, so the date is probably horribly off))
What this really is, is My old role playing character splayed out by other ppl’s art and stuff. Most of the pics are from Angel Sanctuary, but there\’s one Chibi Cloud fanart thrown in there. If it is yours, then claim it. Because I’d like to give you credit for it. It’s very slow, but the artwork is worth seeing.
You’re Not Alone, Quatre!
Anime: Angel Sanctuary
Music: FF9 OST – You’re Not Alone!
Year: 2001
.org entry
Original description:
Well, this was my 2nd slide show, and I was really full of myself. It’s really a scene stolen from FFIX where I added in Angel Sanctuary people for my roleplay character, SQ.
Keep in mind I was only 13 when I made this.
Endless Sorrow
Anime: Angel Sanctuary
Music: FF9 OST – Endless Sorrow
Year: 2001
.org entry
Original description:
The Song’s BG music from FFIX called “Sorrow Not Fading” or. more commonly translated as: “Endless Sorrow.” It’s Angel Sanctuary Characters talking about Shinigami(God of Death).
(I was still full of myself at this time). There’s a lot of other pictures that arn’t from Angel Sanctuary.. The other pictures came from posters.com lol
Anyway, when the credits come, the slideshow is over. I know the music still goes on, but that’s because I didn’t want to cut it off…
FFIX: The Better of the Game
Video: FF9
Music: FF9 – Melodies of Life Remix
Year: 2002
.org entry
Original description:
This is where I went to something semi-original. This is a remix of the song “Melodies of Life”(the english version). I was trying to promote the game, so it’s pretty slow since I couldn’t numb down the images too much or I’d make the game look bad. The music is kind of cool, but it gets boring after awhile. And as for the story in this one: the love between Sarah(Garnet) and Zidane.
Let the Memories Go
Anime: Earthian
Music: Dido – Hunter
Year: 2002
.org entry
Original description:
Okay, I didn’t really name it that, but I should have. This is with the Anime Earthian, and the song “Hunter” by Dido. It’s my 2nd best show, and is moderately fast. Art is semi-good.
I used screenshots from the anime and images from the manga. Some images were converted to black and white so the tempo could be a bit faster than usual.
My Heart is Lost to You
Anime: Sailor Moon
Music: Brooks & Dunn – My Heart is Lost to You
Year: 2002
.org entry
Original description:
This is my absolute favorite slideshow I ever created, but I accidentally deleted it off the server and I didn’t have a hard copy of it at the time.
It’s My Turn to Fly
Anime: Outlaw Star
Music: The Urge – It’s My Time To Fly
Year: 2002
.org entry
Original description:
This is for Outlaw Star. The music is “It’s My Time to Fly” from the Titan A.E. Soundtrack. The art is semi-good. And the speed is about as fast as it’s going to get. This is also the first time I used different transitions then the “fade in” technique for every single one like in my other shows.
((I know I made this show in 2002, but I odn’t know the exact day, so it’s probably way off.))
This is the slideshow my “Let’s Do It!” AMV was based on. Although “Let’s Do It!” Has a completely different story then this slideshow, you can still see the resemblance…. Sort of.
A Tribute
Anime: X/1999
Music: Chad Kroeger – Hero
Year: 2002
.org entry
Original description:
This is kind of a story about the love between kamui and Fuma even though they are destined to destroy eachother by fate and join different sides. You can kind of see the story in this, as there’s more of it then in all my other slideshows. This was the last slideshow I made before I actually got the “stuff” to make AMVs.
