Breakdown description:

This is what the AMV would’ve looked like if I had worked at the same size as my source footage.
If you plan on doing a lot of zooms or match cuts in your AMV, it is good to use an oversized source for your composition so you have the freedom to move your source around.
In this case, I used the 4k version of WolfWalkers, and edited on a 1920×1080 sequence. This is what the AMV would’ve looked like had I edited it in 4k. You can see a lot to the scenes move all over the place. This was done to aid in making more seamless cuts.

I’ve kind of wanted to talk about this for a while, but I figure showing is better than telling. Hopefully someone will learn something from simply showing the process.
