.Org description:

IDO MEP is an Imagine Dragons Multi-Editor Project using Megamix #2 by InanimateMashups on YouTube. The end credits use their I’m So Candy Mashup. Check out their Spotify for their original music!

The project began in the AMV Central discord server as a short, easy MEP (the mix was only 3:35 long) for old editors to use to come back from hiatus, as the coordinator, SQ, had wanted to get back into editing. The mix was split into 15 second segments with the theme “Resurgence”. As with any MEP, the project evolved over time, and the final result is 13 segments put together by 6 editors. We hope you enjoy our project!

Back when InanimateMashups had well under 100k subscribers (in fact I feel like he was only around 10k at this time? Maybe less) I was able to contact him personally and get permission to 1. Use this mashup for the MEP and 2. get an uncompressed WAV straight from him. I’ve included that in the downloads below.

This was the first MEP I coordinated. I gathered a bunch of “old” editors who had not edited in a while and tried to get them editing again. I thought it would be fun to come out of hiatus together. It went okay.
I created all of the transitions, the intro, and everything in the end credits, including the recreating the Imagine Dragons logo in AfterEffects. I had originally hoped the MEP would be released in early 2019, but we ended up releasing it ahead of schedule so it became kind of a christmas release for 2018.

Unfortunately, despite me trying to send this to cons, it never got much attention. Which was slightly disappointing, but oh well.
