2021 Remake description:
I made “Rika’s Blindness” in 2003 on request for someone named Starwire.
In 2020, It came to light that Starwire was an old screenname of Seasons when he asked for a copy of the video (since I had taken down all the links for it). He said he still liked it.
I had always liked the idea behind the video, and had sort of wanted to remake it. The 2003 vid was done really poorly and I only had 3 episodes to work with.
After I happened to find a bluray of Digimon Tamers, I decided that I’d remake the video for Seasons’s birthday. And here we are.
Technical Details
This video was deceptively difficult and frustrating, especially when it looks so simple. I had to use quite a few masks and match motion due to how the series was animated. I’m still not entirely pleased with it, but it looks way better than when it all started. It took approximately 17 hours to complete. Started on 13 December 2020 and finished on 14 March 2021.
